Mission Statement of the Boy Scouts: The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.*
Purpose of the Boys Scouts of America: The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.*
Cub Scouting is a family and home-centered program for boys in the first through fifth grade (from 7-10 years old). Cub Scouting’s emphasis is on quality program at the local level, where the most boys and families are involved. Fourth and fifth grade (10-year-olds) boys are called Webelos (We’ll Be Loyal Scouts) and participate in more advanced activities that begin to prepare them to become Boy Scouts.*

The pack meets the first and third Saturdays of each month at Second Baptist church from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
Visiting points of interest is one aspect of the Cub Scout Pack Program at Second Baptist Church. There is a strong emphasis on spirituality and the church.
